Privacy and Security

To us, privacy is not just a legislative requirement, it’s an ethical commitment that we make to our employees, our clients, and members of the public.

Good service is good privacy

Privacy matters to people—they shouldn’t have to worry about whether their most personal information is kept safe and secure. We’re in a position of trust and, as such, have built privacy, access to information, and data security programs that instill the highest level of privacy protection in our operations.

Pro-active approach

Our approach is pro-active, not reactive. We have implemented a privacy management and information security program that involves a strong focus on privacy governance, privacy policy development and compliance, privacy training and awareness, in-depth privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and Security, Threat and Risk assessments (STRAs), and incident management. It can be customized to integrate into our clients’ existing business and technical environment.

Privacy controls

Privacy controls consist of processes that support public demands for transparency and accountability regarding the privacy of their personal information—including routine disclosures of organizational information as well as timely identification and management of privacy incidents. Data is easily available to the public so people can ask questions about their personal privacy and ensure their information is both accurate and being treated according to their wishes.

Privacy expertise

Our expert team has experience and knowledge of Canadian privacy principles and has worked in different jurisdictions and with different aspects of privacy legislation.

PBC Solutions is a proud member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), which means we’re part of a community of like-minded people with a commitment to best practices.
