Health Insurance BC (HIBC) Services
HIBC Services administers medically-necessary insured doctor services through the Medical Services Plan (MSP) and drug coverage through the Pharmacare and Fair PharmaCare programs. PBC Solutions assumed responsibility for HIBC Services on behalf of the BC Ministry of Health in May 2022.
Consortium Partnership
PBC Solutions created a consortium partnership with other public sector companies to strengthen our solution for the administration of HIBC Services. These companies—Advanced Solutions (a DXC Company), NTT DATA, and EY—have deep ties to the BC government, with trusted relationships and decades of proven experience in successful service delivery.
In addition, our parent company is a long-standing partner of the Government of BC, providing health benefit coverage for its most vulnerable citizens as well as health benefits for the First Nations Health Authority, numerous Crown corporations, and all healthcare workers in the province.
Vested®
Our contract with the Ministry of Health is a Vested® agreement, meaning it is outcome based rather than transaction based. In partnership with the Ministry, we co-created a shared vision and clearly defined and measurable joint outcomes that incentivize both parties to drive transformational results for HIBC Services.
